In reality Port Canaveral is only thought of a cruise port, where you go only to take a cruise ship and the closest fun thing to do is the Orlando Florida theme parks. But this mentality is completely wrong. Opposite to that the travelers that visit Port Canaveral have many choices as to what to do and see before or after taking the cruise. As proof, a recent study showcased that travelers/visitors to the port canaveral cruise port spend an amount over $13 million just from shopping, restaurants and entertainment.

In my case one of the first places to visit while in Port Canaveral is the Kennedy space center. The best thing is that is just  minutes away from the actual port. At the Kennedy Space Center you may have a tour, learn of the various America’s space programs. You will be able to see the space shuttle pads, a close up of  a moon rocket and much much more.
